Why do we exist?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Systematic literature searches play an important role in the healthcare sector. They form the basis both for advancing the current state of knowledge in research and for ensuring evidence-based care in practice. However, the growing number of scientific publications, increasingly complex search methods and a multitude of electronic, inconsistently operable search options are leading to an increasing lack of clarity in the planning and implementation of systematic literature searches. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

That’s why we launched RefHunter. RefHunter aims to support searchers in choosing a suitable approach for their particular search project. <\/p>\n\n

What do you find here?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The central component of our website are tabular overviews<\/a> of the contents, functions and special features of important databases from the health sector and related areas. You can search for these database overviews specifically according to your needs and compile them in an individual watch list, compare them and download them in the form of a PDF. In addition, we present a procedure<\/a> for systematic literature searches, divided into basic and advanced knowledge, using an example and with references to further information and tools. With a downloadable search log<\/a>, you can document the development of your search strategy or your research progress and look up relevant technical terms in a glossary<\/a>. Information on how to use our website and its content can be found in the help section<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
